Black Honey | דבש שחור

בשנה האחרונה עמדה גלריית דנה ביד מרדכי נעולה וריקה, עד שהתערוכה "דבש שחור" סימנה את חזרתה לפעילות. דרך מיצב ושימוש בחומרים כמו ריבות וזיכרונות קולקטיביים, התערוכה חוקרת את מושג הבית—בין הפרטי, הקולקטיבי והלאומי—בעידן של חוסר יציבות.

לב התערוכה הוא "ארכיון ריבות", פרויקט אמנותי המבוסס על שיחות ובישול משותף עם תושבי הקיבוץ. הריבה, כחומר משמר, טומנת בחובה זיכרון—של טעמים, של ידיים שעבדו יחד, של בית כפי שהוא נחווה בילדות. תהליך ההכנה המשותף יצר מאגר של סיפורים אישיים, קולות ומסורות, המתמזגים לכדי ארכיון חי של המקום ואנשיו. סביב הארכיון נבנה מיצב הכולל אלמנטים ביתיים משובשים ומיכלי מים שחורים, המשמשים כסמל כפול—גם למקור חיים וגם למחסור, לריחוק ולגעגוע לבית שאינו יציב.

For the past year, the Dana Gallery in Kibbutz Yad Mordechai stood empty and locked. "Black Honey" marks its reopening, exploring the concept of home—personal, collective, and national—amid instability through installation, preserved memories, and homemade jam.

At the heart of the exhibition is "Jam Archive", an artistic project based on conversations and communal jam-making with kibbutz residents. As a preserved substance, jam holds memory—of flavors, of hands working together, of home as it was experienced in childhood. This shared process created a repository of personal stories, voices, and traditions, forming a living archive of the place and its people. Surrounding the archive, distorted domestic elements and black water tanks serve as a dual symbol—representing both a source of life and a reminder of scarcity, distance, and a home in flux.
